I recommend having a pre-inspection of your home before putting it on the market for a few reasons:
- an inspection by a qualified inspector will identify existing and potential problem areas, offer solutions and provide an estimate of costs for any work required. This will avoid issues occurring when the potential buyer of your home has your house inspected by his own inspector as it will have already been addressed and fixed or the buyer will be aware of it after reviewing your inspection report
- in the case of multiple offers coming in on your house, a buyer may choose to waive the inspection clause thereby presenting you with an offer with less or no conditions
